Tea Ceremony

An invitation to journey with the plant spirit of Tea through a silent contemplative ceremony.

This is a space to listen and attune to the wisdom of ancient, old-growth tea leaves, bowl after bowl, as the heart gently opens, the inner landscape softens, and subtle truths begin to illuminate. Held in stillness and reverence, this ceremony invites you into deep presence with what is, allowing the medicine of Tea to meet you exactly where you are.

We practice Cha Dao, or the Way of Tea, in the tradition taught by Global Tea Hut, root teacher Wu De.

Cha Dao is an ancient practice with a long-standing lineage of tea sages, masters and teachers.

A Gentle Yet Profound Container

Tea is known as the “Great Connector,” known to dissolve barriers. As we sit with tea, we let go of daily tensions and deepen our connection with ourselves, with one another, and with Nature. In the process, we make space for wisdom and clarity to enter.

As Qi moves through the body during a tea ceremony, it can move stuck energy, stagnation, or emotions. The space of Tea Ceremony invites you to simply allow what is deeply present.

Tea works on the most subtle parts of our being, illuminating what is deeply present and offering the element of clarity as we create space to navigate our inner landscape.

This is a process, journey, and container of deeply listening to the ancient wisdom of the Tea leaves.

  • “Sitting in tea ceremony with Mandalynn is a gift. This woman holds the most profound, sacred space that allows you to access the depths within. The container is pristine, the tea is always fantastic & the journey will change your life. I’m eternally grateful for this profound experience. ”

  • My 1:1 tea sits with Mandalynn have subtly been changing my life. the ritual of tea, and the way she holds herself in that space are truly something to behold and to receive. every movement, every breath, an offering to the tea. she holds deep integrity, soft reflection, and always reminds me of a little girl the way she excites at everyone's response to how the tea moves through them. her knowledge of the way of tea runs deep, but it's her presence that teaches the most. it has inspired me to create my own ritual with these ancient teachers. throughout the ceremony, i feel held so powerfully as i explore my inner depths. in these ceremonies i am reminded of what it truly means to be in communion.

Tea Ceremony FAQs

  • Typically for a morning Tea Ceremony, there will be caffeine in the tea. However, the caffeine isn’t the comparable to the caffeine in coffee. While the caffeine in tea and coffee is the same compound, the caffeine in tea is initially trapped by its own polyphenols and tannins, and is then released gradually, for up to ten hours at a time. Thus, there is no "crash," but a period of sustained stimulation. The caffeine from tea can sharpen the mind, increase concentration and eliminate fatigue, all while keeping you feeling relaxed.

Though the tea that will be served has a small amount of caffeine, it offers relaxing benefits to the nervous system and helps those who suffer with stress, anxiety, insomnia, hypertension, and other conditions. This tea will relax you deeply.

Evening Ceremonies will not have caffeine.

  • Each Tea Ceremony is it’s own unique journey. You will be invited to anchor into your intention and weave it with the ancient tea leaves, as we embark on meditative, internal, and alchemical journey, bowl after bowl of Tea. It is a gentle, yet profound container, offering the space of deep listening, introspection, clarity, transformation, and integration. It is a socially-low impact ceremony, supporting your own internal process.

You are invited to simply listen and be open to whatever wants to come through your journey with Tea.

This is a safe space to allow any stuck emotions, energies, or stagnancy to be able to move through your experience. There is no right or wrong way. Whatever is meant to come through and be illuminated with Tea will be.

If you are going through a time of transition, change, death, and rebirth or needing a safe space to receive nourishment and support - this container is particularly ripe for you.

  • Unfortunately, due to the intimate and ceremonial nature of the container - each spot for Tea Ceremonies must be reserved in advance through the scheduling links provided.

  • Tea Ceremonies are non-refundable, due to the limited spots available for each ceremony. However, you are able to transfer your ticket to another person prior to the ceremony and must communicate this transfer with Mandalynn. We request that you treat this ceremony as the sacred container that it is.

  • I, Mandalynn, do not have permission to teach Cha Dao. It’s the utmost importance to me to remain in integrity with this ceremony and lineage, in which I recommend learning deeper from the root Source of The Global Tea Hut, root teacher Wu De.

Of course, I am always available for questions and conversations in regards to Tea! But I request that if you are seeking to build your own relationship with Tea & Cha Dao, that you connect to the Source of the practice, tradition, and ceremony.

In Remembrance & Honor

In honor, remembrance, and gratitude of Alex Crow, who wove the practice and lineage of Cha Dao into my life.

A forever Teacher 🕊

May your Spirit continue to live on through each bowl of Tea poured from the heart.
